How to earn that sweet, sweet bonuspunkte

There are many different ways to earn bonuspunkte. Some are listed below. Others are released with little notice and have a limited window for completion. Keep your eyes open and be ready to complete a bonus at any time during the game!

a COUPLE of THINGS TO remember about bonus gameplay

  • You may only complete one bonus per day, unless explicitly directed to do otherwise by GG.

  • You cannot complete multiple bonus activities on a single day with the intention of then scoring them on days you didn’t complete a bonus (no “stockpiling”).

  • If you are required to send proof of completion to GG (e.g. a video or pic), you can do that immediately after finishing the bonus activity but you wont officially report the bonus until the next morning on the DRT.

  • Not all bonuses will cover your daily exercise requirement. Make sure you understand which do and which do not!


WEEK 3 BONUSES

MONday, July 21st through sunday, july 27th

  • A Long SÖmmer STROLL - 5 MileS

    The third of an eight event series, complete the required distance on foot by any means necessary (walk, wog, jog, run, sprint, crawl, whatever) and score the associated bonus! For the first week of Sömmer Kamp ‘25, complete an three mile walk/jog/run (no specific pace requirement, just get it done) in a single event to earn a +3p bonus. This activity must be completed outdoors with GPS tracking proof (no “dreadmills” allowed) and may be taken only once during Week 3. This activity will count for your daily exercise requirement as a Singelt. Complete all 8 of the Long Sömmer Strolls and earn a über +15p completion bonus!

  • PARKENFÜSTE ALLOWANCE (*walk in the Park #2 - 5 miles)

The second bonus in a series of three, complete a five mile hike in a city, county, regional, state or national park (no pace requirement, just get it done). GPS/STRAVA tracking is required as proof, as is a selfie showing yourself and the park sign (if not using STRAVA you’ll still need to send GG proof from some kind of GPS based tracking app). This bonus is worth +3p and may be only be taken once during Week 3. Completion of this will count for that day’s exercise requirement as a Singelt. Complete all three hikes in the three different parks by the end of the game and you will earn a +5p completion bonus!

  • PLANKENFÜste ALLOWANCE (*PLANK 1 MINUTE)

    The first of three plank bonuses this Sömmer Kamp, hold a plank for 1 minute and earn a +1p bonus. Video proof of completion sent to GG required. All planks must be completed on your elbows, never straight arm it!

  • SO MANY STAIRS - 50 FLIGHTS

    Third in a series of eight events, go out into the world and find a stair case, whether that’s a stairwell at your office, a parking garage or school bleachers, whatever you can find. Now start your way up. One flight equals 16 steps (in case you’re going to use a non-standard set of stairs). For Week 3, complete 50 flights to earn a +1p bonus. HR data is a strict requirement here as GPS will most likely not correctly record this activity. You cannot use a “stairmaster” or gym based machine to complete this bonus; you must go out and climb an actual staircase. This activity will not count towards your daily exercise requirement and may only be taken once during Week 3. Complete all 8 of the stair climbing bonus events and you’ll also score yourself a +10p Completion Bonus!

WEEK 2 BONUSES

MONday, July 14th through sunday, july 20th

  • A Long SÖmmer STROLL - 4 MileS

    The second of an eight event series, complete the required distance on foot by any means necessary (walk, wog, jog, run, sprint, crawl, whatever) and score the associated bonus! For Week 2 of Sömmer Kamp ‘25, complete an four mile walk/jog/run (no specific pace requirement, just get it done) in a single event to earn a +1p bonus. This activity must be completed outdoors with GPS tracking proof (no “dreadmills” allowed) and may be taken only once during Week 2. This activity will count for your daily exercise requirement as a Singelt. Complete all 8 of the Long Sömmer Strolls and earn a über +15p completion bonus!

  • MITTERNACHTSSONNE ALLOWANCE (*AFTER DARK)

    Complete a Singelt exercise parameter that begins after sunset local time (but before midnight). This activity will count for that day’s exercise requirement. Standard proof of workout completion required and send GG a pic of a clock showing your starting time as proof. Earns a +1p bonus.

  • SO MANY STAIRS - 40 FLIGHTS

    Second in a series of eight events, go out into the world and find a stair case, whether that’s a stairwell at your office, a parking garage or school bleachers, whatever you can find. Now start your way up. One flight equals 16 steps (in case you’re going to use a non-standard set of stairs). For Week 2, complete 40 flights to earn a +1p bonus. HR data is a strict requirement here as GPS will most likely not correctly record this activity. You cannot use a “stairmaster” or gym based machine to complete this bonus; you must go out and climb an actual staircase. This activity will not count towards your daily exercise requirement and may only be taken once during Week 2. Complete all 8 of the stair climbing bonus events and you’ll also score yourself a +10p Completion Bonus!

  • WANDerungfüste allowance (*MOUNTAIN CLIMB #1)

    First of a series of three bonuses, hike as many miles as it takes to climb 506ft in vertical elevation (note that GG said “hike”, not “get on a stair master” . . . this bonus requires you to hike uphill outside to earn your punkte). Make sure that the full elevation gain is recorded . . . anything less will not earn you the bonus!  And this bonus may not be completed by simply climbing stairs (there’s a whole other bonus for that!). You must hike. Completion of his bonus will count towards your daily exercise requirement as a Singelt workout. Proof of completion posted to STRAVA and/or sent to GG required to earn this +1p bonus. This bonus may only be taken once during Week 2. Complete the series of all three climbs by the end of the game and you will earn a +10p completion bonus!

WEEK 1 BONUSES

MONday, July 7th through sunday, july 13th

  • meile laufen (*MILE FOR TIME)

    The first of two bonuses, this one is a first fitness check for SK25. All you need to do is go out and travel one mile, by foot, as fast as you can to earn this +1p bonus. Obviously this bonus is designed to be run but if you’re not a runner then walk or wog it as fast as you can. GG would prefer if you found a track to do this on to keep it simple and clean for yourself but he also understands there’s some challenges here so just do your best. GPS proof of completion is required (posted to STRAVA or sent to GG) and also text GG your completion time. This activity will not count as your daily exercise requirement and may be taken only once during Week 1.

Now start your way up. One flight equals 16 steps (in case you’re going to use a non-standard set of stairs). For Week 1, complete 30 flights to earn a +1p bonus. HR data is a strict requirement here as GPS will most likely not correctly record this activity. You cannot use a “stairmaster” or gym based machine to complete this bonus; you must go out and climb an actual staircase. This activity will not count towards your daily exercise requirement and may only be taken once during Week 6. Complete all 6 of the stair climbing bonus events and you’ll also score yourself a +10p Completion Bonus!


OTHER BONUS PLAY

  • COMPLETION BONUSES

    Many of the activities during Winterfüste are built as a series. If you complete the series, you’ll earn a bonus Completion Bonus (bonus). All good things come to those who put the time in.

    Examples:

    • So Many Stairs: Complete all 8 stair climbing challenges to earn +10p bonus

    • Long Sömmer Stroll: Complete all 8 weekly strolls to earn an über +15p bonus

    • Parkenfüste: Complete all 3 park hikes to earn a +5p bonus

    • Climb: Complete all 3 climbs to earn a huge +10p bonus

    • Weighted Walk: Complete both events to earn a +5p bonus

    • Pentathlon: Complete both events to earn a +10p bonus

  • Hungriger geist BONUS ALLOWANCE

    Complete all 8 Fastentag days and you’ll earn this +15p bonus! Each Fastentag is an exercise in brutality so this bonus is not for the light of heart!

  • Final Exam ALLOWANCE

    Complete the Homework Final Exam on the Finalefüste to earn a +15p bonus.

  • Long Dog ALLOWANCE

    If you see a “long dog” (that’s Germany’s finest export, the Dachshund, aka Weiner Dog, Sausage Dog, Hot Dog, Doxie etc.) in the wild, make sure to snap a selfie with it! Send the pic to GG, report it on the Daily Reporting Tool the next day and once you’ve collected 5 long dogs (affectionally knowns as a “quiver”) you’ll be eligible for a secret bonus! You can only report off on one long dog per day, even if you’re lucky enough to run across a full pack . . . and yes, the Dachshund is the official mascot of the Füste and the creature closest to GG’s heart, so watch what you say about ‘em!
